The patient's blood work demonstrated low albumin and eosinophilia, which may be suggestive of potential parasitism. We will perform a fecal test to determine the presence of parasites.

There were many smudge cells on the submitted slides. This may have altered the white blood cell differential and count.

Problem list: Juvenile cataracts in both eyes, small abrasion in the middle of the cere
Diagnosis: Juvenile cataracts
Assessment: The patient is relatively normal on physical exam. Because the patient presented with a history of possible trauma, even through there was no evidence on exam of fractures or swelling, it is important to investigate further. It is also important to make sure that the juvenile cataracts do not progress and to monitor vision.
Plan: Dx: Radiographs would be the next step to evaluate any potential trauma.
Tx: Continue to feed and give calcium glubionate
Prognosis: Unknown

Problem list: N/A
Diagnosis: N/A
Assessment: The patient appears to be a normal fledgling on physical examination. There is no evidence of fractures or swelling grossly. However, given the history of being found on the ground and potentially having fallen out of the nest, we cannot completely rule out trauma at the moment and need to pursue further diagnostics.
Plan:
Dx: Perform radiographs to check for any evidence of fractures or swelling not detected on physical exam. We swabbed the choana and cloaca at the time of the exam and are awaiting avian influenza test results.
Tx: At the moment, the plan is to feed the patient twice a day and supply calcium glubionate at 25 mg/kg once a day. Anything else we do would be dependent on radiographic results.
Prognosis: Currently unknown
